My Coach Approach

My Coach Approach
A – Action Oriented
Success in business is fundamentally about taking action. I am in the business of helping others set and achieve their goals but goals are just words without action. I believe in action and this is a credo I live daily.
P – Perspective
I can bring perspective to a situation or problem as I have the unique position of being the outsider looking in. The perspective is generally one of inquisition and challenging a particular view or belief. I wholeheartedly subscribe to the philosophy of ‘digging deeper” in to any problem and challenge. My job is to aid this process to hopefully shed light on alternative approaches/solutions or indeed to confirm that the original solution is correct.
P – Proactive
Being proactive is what it says. My approach is a structured one, that doesn’t just change direction everytime a new challenge emerges. Being reactive is counterproductive, being proactive is all about anticipating future problems. Looking at strategy in a holistic  manner. For example to deal with a sales challenge by only trying to increase sales is reactive. To examine all aspects of the sales process, from product to people to process to delivery is a proactive approach. All are interlinked and all must be examined. Increasing your sales of a poor product or service is hardly a good strategic approach?
R – Realistic
As you know I don’t subscribe to the “if you conceive it and believe it, you can achieve it” philosophy. Although is clearly important to do this it is only a small part of goal achievement. You must work really hard. You must pay a price. You must commit. You must anticipate the challenges. You must face the challenges head on. None of this is easy. Realism stems from this perspective. Yes you can achieve really ambitious goals but no it isn’t easy. It’s really hard work. But it is worth it in the end.
O – Objective
Being objective is a critical component of coaching. The objective approach will ultimately ensure better decision making. Removing emotion, and precedent from the decision making process can yield extraordinary insights.
A – Ambitious
I am a hugely ambitious person in wanting to deliver real value for my clients. Their ambitions are important to me. Ambition is not solely limited to financial and career. Ambition is personal. Ambition is motivational. Without ambition quite honestly coaching won’t work, or coaching won’t work with me.
C – Committed
Commitment is very often what differentiates most of the truly successful people from the rest. A commitment to a vision or goal is everything. My commitment to the success of others is very important to me. I can never have more commitment however than a client has for their own business, but I’ll certainly give everything I can to help them succeed.
H – Honest
Honesty speaks for itself and needs no explanation. I’ll always adhere to this core value.

That’s my approach, would you like to talk ?
